How We Rate
This page explains how the information on this site is gathered and checked. It covers the sources we use, the points we look at for players in Great Britain, and the limits we set for ourselves.
Where the information comes from
Every page is built from primary sources first. We do not rely on rumour, forum posts or second-hand summaries for facts such as limits, fees or rules.
- The operator's own website and its help pages
- Bonus terms and conditions for each offer
- The general terms and conditions
- Payment and withdrawal pages
- The licence register of the issuing authority
Player opinions are treated separately. They appear on the reviews page as opinions, not as verified facts.
What we check and why it matters
Each point below is chosen because it affects the money, time or safety of a player in GB.
We look for the licence name, the number and the entity that holds it. For True Fortune the fact card lists a Curaçao eGaming licence, number 8048/JAZ. We record that as a stated detail and compare it with the register where possible. A licence from outside Great Britain is not the same as a UK Gambling Commission licence, and we say so plainly.
A headline figure tells you little. We read the wagering requirement, maximum bet, game weighting, expiry and any cap on winnings. Our pages on the no deposit bonus and the sign up bonus follow this approach.
We note the available deposit and withdrawal methods, minimum and maximum amounts, fees and stated processing times. Details are set out on the withdrawal page and the deposit page.
We look at the range of games and the named providers, the ways to contact support, and the responsible gambling tools on offer. These include deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. If a tool is not clearly described, we say that it is not clearly described.
When sources disagree
Operators sometimes show different numbers in different places. A promotion banner may differ from the bonus terms, for example.
- The full terms and conditions outrank banners and summaries.
- A newer dated document outranks an older one.
- If the conflict remains, we publish the stricter figure or state that the sources differ.
- We avoid guessing and leave out anything we cannot confirm.
How often pages are re-checked
Bonus terms, payment options and limits change often, so we re-check pages on a regular schedule and when we notice a change. We do not promise real-time accuracy. Always confirm current terms on the operator's site before you deposit.
What we do not do
- We do not accept payment to change, soften or remove a fact.
- We do not promise or imply winnings.
- We do not invent figures, tests or credentials.
- We do not present gambling as a way to make money.
Gambling carries risk and is for adults aged 18 or over. Only stake what you can afford to lose. If you are worried about your play, use the operator's limit tools or contact a support service such as GamCare.
