Megaways Reels and up to 15,625 Ways
Blueprint Gaming released this version in 2019 as a reworking of its original Egyptian slot. It plays on six reels, and instead of a fixed grid each reel shows between two and five rows on every spin. That mix of heights decides how many ways to win are active.
How the row count changes each spin
Wins form by matching symbols on adjacent reels, so there are no paylines to count. A spin where several reels land tall opens far more routes to a match than one where most reels are short. The Megaways mechanic itself is licensed from Big Time Gaming, according to industry coverage.
What 15,625 ways means in practice
The headline figure is simply five rows on all six reels, which multiplies out to 15,625. It is the ceiling rather than the typical spin, and most rounds land with fewer rows and fewer ways. Expect the pace to swing between quiet spins and busier ones.
Treat 15,625 as the best-case grid, not the everyday one.
The Wild Horus Symbol
The Horus wild is the centrepiece of the game. It works in the base game and in the free spins round, so it is never a bonus-only tool.
- It substitutes for every symbol except the scatter, helping to complete wins across adjacent reels.
- It can expand, covering more of the reel than a single position would.
- During free spins, wilds also upgrade symbols to higher-paying ones.
Because the number of rows changes every spin, an expanding wild has a different reach each time. On a tall reel it touches more positions, which can matter when the ways count is already high. On a short reel its effect is smaller, and that is part of why results vary so much from spin to spin.
Free Spins Feature
Triggering the round
Landing three or more scatters starts the free spins feature, which begins with 12 spins. The scatter is the one symbol the Horus wild cannot replace, so it has to land on its own.
How symbol upgrades work
In this round, wilds turn symbols into higher-paying ones. The effect is that a single well-placed wild can lift the value of later wins on the same spin, rather than only filling a gap. It is the main source of pay potential in the game, alongside the changing grid.

Operator-Selectable RTP Settings Explained
Why 95.49% is not the only figure
The listed RTP for this slot is 95.49%, but the game supports multiple settings that the casino chooses when it adds the title. Other sites quote different percentages, which is why comparing numbers across review pages can mislead. RTP is a long-run average across huge numbers of spins, not a prediction for one session.
What to check before you play
The operator's own information panel is the authority on which setting is running. Open the game's help or info screen and read the figure there instead of relying on any third-party list, including this one.

Megaways vs the Original Eye of Horus
The original game launched in 2016 with a fixed layout. The Megaways edition keeps the Egyptian theme and the Horus wild but replaces the static grid with reels that change height. The family has since grown into several separate releases.
- Original Eye of Horus (2016): the fixed-layout slot; see the original Eye of Horus guide.
- Eye of Horus Megaways (2019): the version reviewed here.
- Jackpot King edition (May 2021): a separate version with a progressive jackpot.
- Eye of Horus The Golden Tablet Megaways (2023): a later sequel and a different game.
Make sure you open the right title, since the names are close and the features and RTP figures are not identical across them.
Is Eye of Horus Megaways Right for You?
Anyone considering eye of horus megaways TrueFortune as a session pick should start with volatility. High volatility means wins can come less often and results can swing sharply, with a top win listed at 10,000x the stake. That suits players with patience and a firm budget, not those wanting steady, frequent returns.
A free demo exists for this slot, though availability varies by jurisdiction. It is a sensible way to see how the grid and wild behave before using real money.

FAQ
How many ways to win does Eye of Horus Megaways have?
Up to 15,625, reached only when all six reels show five rows. Each spin randomly sets between two and five rows per reel, so the real number of ways changes constantly and is often well below the maximum.
Why can the RTP of Eye of Horus Megaways vary between casinos?
The game ships with several RTP settings, and each operator picks the one it runs. A review may quote 95.49% while your casino shows another figure. Always trust the percentage in the game's own info panel.
What does the Horus wild do in the Megaways version?
It replaces every symbol except the scatter and can expand, in both the base game and free spins. In the bonus round, wilds also upgrade symbols to higher-paying ones, which is where much of the round's pay potential comes from.
Can I try the slot without paying?
A free demo exists and is usually offered in play-for-fun modes at licensed casinos and on slot review sites. Availability depends on jurisdiction, so check whether your account region shows the demo option.
